Mena paused to lob several well aimed snowballs at her cousins before turning around to give Zig a breathless grin. Her cheeks were pink from the cold and she looked exhilarated. They had made had tromped through the snow for a bit when he asked his question and she pointed at the ramshackle barn as it appeared through the trees.
"Not too far now," she answered. There were a scary number of squirrel tracks here, but she figured they were safe enough for now.
She shoved open the door and stepped inside the surprisingly warm building. There were two broken down speeders shoved off to one side and various bricknbrack scattered about, but it was the ladder for the hay filled loft she was interested in.
"Here we are," she hummed, grabbing one of the rungs. "Give a ggirl a boost, will you?"
