He nodded a thanks for the drink and poured himself half a glass. Enough to wet the throat would be good enough. He savored a swig and passed the bottle back before continuing.
“My fees vary on what needs to be done. A simple foot soldier job I might ask a hundred gold and food for the duration of the combat season. Bodyguard might run you as little as a gold a day to a hundred depending on how important and capable you are. You know sorta the whole you make it easy on me and I’ll make it easy on your wallet sort of arrangement. As for crafts...”
He fiddled around with his gear for a moment laying his spear, butt toward Zoroka, his shield, and the gambeson armor he had just removed onto the table. ”It’s not much better than peasant garb but it suits for most purposes. ‘Specially the gambeson. It protects better than leather armors against most things and is cheaper and easier to repair, even free if you can spin flax into linen.” He paused for another drink. “Spears, wooden shields, and simple clothing like soft soled shoes make up the rest of my crafting talents. They’re not much to talk about. I don’t do the ornate stuff. Decorations just go to a man’s head and gets him killed faster than a belly full of mead.”
