The Changeling had watched the entire exchange with eyebrows that were starting to get impossibly close to his hairline. The'ara was a friendly sort, he noted. Helpful, chatty even though she was shy. She was also back under the mistletoe. For a minute there he thought he had waited to long and blown his chance which firstly, would have been horrible all the way around, secondly, he never would have heard the end of it from a certain empathic redhead.
Galain seemed entranced with the squirrel and its continuing advance on Adrian, so Chez grabbed the unopened bottle of wine and both goblets in one massive hand and crossed the taproom.
His free hand latched onto the ladder and tugged gently forward, bringing The'ara interestingly close to himself. "Let me help you with that," he offered. "I can.. show you where it goes." He smiled with what seemed to be a hint of mischief, and purposefully lifted his face to look at the greenery dangling not too far above his very lofty head.
