There was a twinkle of amusement in The'ara's eyes. "I swear upon my lute, I will not let go." Her eyes flashed to her brother, whose name she had either forgotten or never learned. "Won't be long before it's your turn. Your arms aren't tired, are they?"
It was a soft tease, meant to ensure he didn't move. Boys were notorious for proving their independence and the last thing she wanted was for him to climb down and maybe knock the tree over. But boys were also notorious for showing off their strength, no matter the age. She hoped that would be incentive enough to keep him holding on a little while longer.
