Chez listened quietly, a certain sadness clouding the set of his features. He understood her clearly now and the words to the last song brought back an old hurt of his own.
Raven hair, amber eyes, the salt scent of the sea and a breath of rasberry.
Marion had been gone for so very long now,but he could still hear her laughter sometimes. There was still a beat up old shoebox under his bed that she had stashed there at some point, small treasures that had meant something to his Thieflet. Time had taken her, as it took everyone, and even the Lord of Time had been helpless to stop it.
He no longer went back to look at at past he could not touch. It just tore open old wounds, detrimental even to someone who did not bleed.
"What happened to them?" he asked when the music faded away.
