Helen released the breath that she hadn't realised she'd been holding, casting a quick critical eye over An'Thaya as Ghet spoke - the diminutive woman definitely had an air of danger about her, but not in a way that made the human woman feel threatened. She wanted to be on the Elf's side in a fight, that was for sure.
"Risky doesn't even cover it, especially considering I wasn't exactly at full strength." The psi-talent acknowledged. "Not something I'd recommend in anything other than dire circumstances."
She paused, wondering how much she should share. "Lets start with ex-boyfriend from Hell and go from there," The strawberry-blonde gave a small half smile. "Nothing like finding out he only views you as a brood mare and got what he wanted. Or so he thought."
Paul's major mistake had been beginning to wean her off the suppressants as soon as she'd become pregnant. He'd intended to switch her to the safer, but less potent version, but Helen had always been resistant to those. When she'd been expecting Shari, the Corps had kept her in lockdown. Apparently, her ex hadn't received that memo.
