She squinted at Captain Zig. "And?" She couldn't understand why Zig was embarrassed. Why should he be ashamed that his adopted son was an ogre? Did he assume because she'd killed one before that she hated all ogres?
The way he squirmed and blushed, she would have thought he'd lain with an ogre. That would have impressed her. Ogre women aren't known to show their favors on any but the strongest of warriors. Zig wasn't of such a build that an ogress would look at him twice. His lack of scars was a detriment to his suit as well. But, she supposed, with enough alcohol, both parties would find the other attractive. This thought so amused her, she had to bite the inside of her cheek to prevent herself from laughing. Her eyes were shiny, though.
