Zoroka smiled. "The buffet's free on account of the holidays, friend." She rose and hooked her hand in the crook of Vashir's arm. "I've eaten, but I could always go for more."
As she lead him away from the bar, she called over to Jerri, "Beer's on my tab, please." To Vashir, she said, "I insist."
As they made their selections, Zoroka made a point to bump into Vashir as much as possible, or even lean over him to grab some cake. It amused her to no end how many shades of blue his cheeks turned. She wondered what else might be blue.
She walked a little lighter on her feet as she trod back to where Zig sat. "Captain Zig, this is my good friend, Vashir. Vashir, Zig. He'll be accompanying us on our journey."
