"Huh? What creatures?" Seravel followed his gaze and saw a human talking to someone who clearly wasn't, along with a group of elves and a half-elf. There were also a goodly number of squirrels skittering about. Was he talking about the squirrels or the people? "Hard to say. If one bites you, you could get an awful infection, but they tend to be more afraid of you than the other way around. Or they might pick your pockets and slit your throat if you go down the wrong alley. Best not travel at night when alone. Don't worry. I'll hang around you and together, we won't be alone. We'll team up and not travel around any alley ways or get bitten."
She realized after the fact that she combined talking about both the squirrels and the fellow taproom patrons without clarifying about either. Oh well. A person-bite could yield as much of an infection as a squirrel-bite so it's not like she said anything untrue. And who knows? With training, the squirrels might make pickpockets and cutthroats. She nodded to herself and shuddered at the thought.
