She cocked her head to one side, regarding Zig. "Have you had too much to drink or did your hayride jostle your memory? Last I checked, you still had a job with me. Unless you have second thoughts?"
She nodded again in the direction of the boards. "I may be here awhile, in case my mother shows up. If the temptation of immediate work is too great for you to resist, I'll understand. I'll leave word of where I might be found should I be forced to travel on before you return. Assuming, of course, you're still interested."
Zoroka's lips turned upward in amusement. Flashy he may be, but he was starting to grow on her. Even if he was a bit too trusting of strangers. He'd have to break that habit if he planned on staying out of trouble. A wanted man who was too trusting almost always got turned in. And in Zig's case, it'll probably be a pretty barmaid to do it, too.
