Ghetsuhm turned on a dime, or at least one two-inch boot-heel, and reached out to catch Helen before she remembered and snatched her hands back. She gave Marius a small nod to indicate that yes, in this particular case alcohol was a good idea, then dragged herself out a chair next to Helen.
"Dagar, Helen, gods, how long..." She frowned, trying to think just how long it had been since she'd seen her friend. "How many kids did I have? I think I'm up a couple for sure. Five years, maybe? Could be worse. In fact, I think it has been before. Sorry, I should let you get your breath back." The memories of what Helen might not be aware of when it came to her family started backing up, and she needed a moment herself.
