Helen turned to Rhys then, putting her hands gently on his shoulders. "Its okay. Really. I'm sorry I disappeared. Semel's temple has a shield around it that..." Realisation dawned. "God effing damnit!" She swore, knocking her stool over in her haste to rise. "Petty squabbling CHILDREN!"
The strawberry blonde turned to Ghet. "Semel ressurected me to fight Ehrun. The Dark Goddess had brough elements of the Corporation to Haven, childen were disappearing, I knew she'd go for me or the kids. I went to Semel thinking she knew the same. But her reach only extends around Haven. If Ehrun found a way to capitalise on someone else working off world for her? Semel would throw her toys out of the pram and just refuse to do anything. Of course, the only way to stop me going after Ehrun if she did anything was to keep me locked up and drugged out of my mind."
Helen started pacing. "The only way to incapacitate Anaya enough to take her is to suppress her abilites. And that is dependant on having drugs tied to her DNA, and I only know two places that have that kind of tech, and if TIF were involved I'm going to be really, really surprised. The question is, why then? Who told them that the uprising would happen? I can't see the Lords of Corin involving off-worlders."
