Marius picked out his stones and after saying it would keep him in drinks awhile, Ambrose asked for a strong bourbon.
Suddenly snapping his head one way, Ambrose's sharp, cobalt blue eyes settled onto the pretty strawberry blond in the room as well as the distinguished lady she was talking to.
Ambrose had no idea who the two ladies were, yet the strawberry blond reminded him very much of Viviana. Ambrose sighed as he looked away just then... Viviana... If only he had told her...
Pushing the thought away, Ambrose was not about to try and find out on his own who she was, even with his own impressive level of telepathy. In fact, Ambrose did quite the opposite, and coiled the tower around his mind even more tightly to avoid any undo intrusions.
“Don't mind the family crisis. I'd not be exaggerating to say they happen all the damn time.”
Ambrose wasn't sure what to make of what Marius had just said, but he thought it would be best to steer clear of any family business. Thus, Ambrose just took another sip of his bourbon and tried to stay out of the way. For now at least.
It just seemed like trouble always found him however.
