As soon as Rhys touched her bare arms, Helen's mind was overwhelmed with his concern and confusion, and the telepath had to bite down on her lip to prevent crying out.
"Well, whatever happened, they shredded the hell out of my shields," She managed, trying to gather some semblance of balance back as she slowly climbed on to the stool he had offered. "Okay. As much as I like you keeping me upright, I think I may have to institute a 'no-touching' rule for now." A pause, "Which is a real pain when... Oh look, the ramblings back."
Meeting his eyes, Helen managed a weak smile. "I'd ask how you've been but I feel like I should be explaining myself."
