Aarien snickered evilly. "I know what you're thinking, you know. 'Oh no, they want me to join a virginity cult, however shall I get out of that?' But I was just a kid at the time. Twelve? About that. Too young for the obvious solution. I was kind of a dick about it, to be honest. I just hung around the temple being bitchy and whining while my family were looking for me..."
Her normally clear, bright expression clouded "In the end, my aunt traded herself for me. The same aunt who kidnapped me in the first place. It was all very strange. But my A'pa and my Addah Ro had to work together to find me, and stop hating each other a bit, so that was good. I... I'd never met my aunt before, though, and I haven't seen her again since. It's a bit weird to know somebody's locked away like that on my behalf."
She finished her drink, and the smile returned to her face. "Anyway. I'm older now. It's safe to say Vesta has no use for me now. I really should just bring that bottle round here. I don't see why killing someone because you're instructed to would make you immoral. I mean... a few years back this guy kidnapped my A'ma. Addah Ro killed him. But if he'd hired someone else to kill him for him, that wouldn't have made it wrong. You can't be responsible for other people's decisions."
